Participants in the Belgian VISAVIS campaign took part in three interactive and practical training sessions.
- During the first session, they were introduced in detail to the platform and learned step by step how to use the Image and Video Checker to verify the reliability of photos and videos.
- In the second session, we went beyond the tools and explored how we currently consume information. The focus was on the impact of visual content and the growing role of artificial intelligence: how does this affect our daily media use, and what new challenges does it bring?
- The third and final session offered a behind-the-scenes look at disinformation. We examined how disinformation arises and the motives of those who spread it. This gave participants a better understanding of how disinformation works and how to handle it more effectively.
In addition, participants received a weekly exercise through the Qualifio platform. The tasks were varied: from recognizing manipulated images to uncovering the context of a video or assessing the motives behind a disinformation campaign.
